1. ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange
The Control Manager Agent acts as an interface that allows ScanMail servers to communicate
with the Control Manager server. Through the Control Manager Agent, you can remotely configure
groups of ScanMail servers and deliver Outbreak Prevention Services from Trend Micro Control
Manager management console with consistent protection to reduce the overall management efforts.
In order to use Control Manager with ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange, the Control Manager
Agent must be downloaded and installed separately.
ScanMail for Exchange v3.52 ("ScanMail") supports both MAPI (Messaging Application Programming
Interface) and AVAPI (Anti-Virus Application Programming Interface) protocols available in
Microsoft Exchange from Microsoft Corporation.
To ensure that ScanMail runs with and supports the new Exchange AVAPI properly, you must have
the latest Service Pack SP4 or higher.
